OStatic covers DjangoCon

It's good to see popular websites and A-Listers (I barfed a little in my mouth writing that - hate that term) like Gigaom talking djangocon. One of his web products in the gigaOM network called OStatic just posted about the upcoming event.

"Perhaps the most interesting part of the news is the location of the conference: it's scheduled to be held at Google's Mountain View, California headquarters. It's clear that the support for all things Python at Google isn't lagging."

DjangoCon - Officially announced

Hot off the presses twitter (via evilrob), DjangoCon is officially announced.

"I am pleased to announce that DjangoCon will be held on the 6th and 7th of September, 2008 at the Google headquarters in Mountain View. This will tie in with the 1.0 release of Django, and so we'll be also having a 1.0 release party on Saturday September 6th."

Callcast - Jacob Kaplan-Moss and DjangoCon 2008

As I posted early this AM, Jacob Kaplan-Moss teased us with the DjangoCon 2008 logo over on Pownce. I've emailed once with Jacob in the past so I figured I'd give him a shout to see if he was interested in talking about the conference during lunch. Luckily for me he was, and I couldn't have been happier to have Jacob on the "show" to discuss some details. We talked DjangoCon and even the Django 1.0 release party. We start with a quick introduction, and then get right into DjangoCon. It runs 8mins and 33 seconds.
